Sexuality covers a broad aspect in relationship. To scrutinize, nowadays, most of the relationships can’t stand without the so called “sex”. Teenagers are becoming more liberated in this modernized world. It is hard to deny the fact that sexuality as an issue in a relationship certainly happens. Let us tackle about having same sex relationship issue.
As thought to us, men are for women. Not man to man nor woman to woman. Since we are all living in this gigantic world where Christians dominates, or even Islam themselves, same sex relationship is a big NO! NO!
Since this issue have not yet been resolved in our paradigm, I interviewed some of my friends regarding their opinion towards this. One of them said:
“Sexual relationship is basically unacceptable in most of the society, though there are countries that allowed this kind of relationship and even legalized it. But to most people, especially the conservative type of numbers in the society, definitely will appeal to object such a relationship. Priests, nuns, catechists, and other religious groups have to value Christian dogma that the said relationship is considered a sin. But then the sentiments of these gays or lesbians to happiness are not mutually exclusive. We also want them to be happy on the other hand. But the happiness we want for them should also inclined with the present status quo, the moral standards of the society. A lot of prejudices might strike them from different group of people.” (by Mario Lozada Jr.)
Living with moral principles
Furthermore, we are living in a Christian world; certainly Islam would not also tolerate this for we know for the fact that it is immoral. Having such affair would not just destroy your reputation but as well as the whole of your life. As mentioned, there are countries that legalized this deed. However, to those who value much their religious life, it could be a mean to them. You may also ask me if having same sex relationship would affect your relationship to God, to the people around you, or to the things you used to do? I would certainly say, YES! Even if you will go to argue with me that engaging this action would not make you less productive, I’ll tell you, it won’t, but will make you immoral to the eyes of others. Conceding the fact that what others might say is not important, how about the word of God? Isn’t it important? We have the standard protocol to follow. One of these is to have a relationship with OPPOSITE SEX.
One of the best lessons in life is to learn how to make most of your life by getting out of your own way. It will help you change your views about having a relationship to your same sex. Generally, you will learn this lesson after the fact that you have wasted the opportunity or harmed one of your relationships. We want a relationship that would really last and will also give us fruitful meanings to our lives.
